Experienced Cook Wanted – Japanese Sushi & Hot Food Takeaway (Yeronga, Brisbane)

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at a busy Japanese sushi and hot food takeaway shop in Yeronga, Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to maintain a great work-life balance while securing a reliable, consistent income stream.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

·         Experience: Proven experience cooking Japanese cuisine or similar styles.

·         Kitchen Duties: Confident with food preparation and conducting end-of-day kitchen cleanups.

·         Efficiency: Ability to handle multiple orders efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·         Teamwork: A strong team player with an intermediate level of English.

·         Commitment: Looking for a long-term role (minimum 1 year commitment) with a valid working VISA.

Hours & Location:

·         Location: 429 Fairfield Road, Yeronga, QLD 4104 (conveniently located next to Yeronga Station).

·         Shop Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

·         Rostered Staff Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 – 5:00 PM (Long-term, stable hours).

·         Work-Life Balance: Closed all weekends and public holidays!

Employment Terms:

·         Type: Casual.

·         Wage: Fully compliant with the Australian Restaurant Industry Award, plus Superannuation.

·         Trial Period: A 2-week paid trial period will be conducted for both parties before finalizing long-term employment.
