ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, efficiency, and innovation. This role requires someone who can balance creativity with operational excellence, leading a team of dedicated chefs while keeping an eye on cost controls, supplier relationships, and workflow efficiency.
This is a hands-on leadership role, and we expect you to lead from the front—setting the standard for execution, plating, and service speed while fostering a positive, motivated, and high-performing team culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Culinary Excellence & Menu Innovation
- Conceptualise, design, and execute menus that elevate the dining experience and reflect current industry trends.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portioning across all service periods.
- Keep ahead of culinary trends, introducing modern techniques and fresh ideas to maintain our venue’s competitive edge.
- Work closely with suppliers to source the best quality ingredients while maintaining cost efficiency.
Kitchen Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of chefs, fostering a culture of professionalism, passion, and growth.
- Oversee kitchen recruitment, training, and performance management to ensure the highest standards.
- Implement and maintain kitchen SOPs, ensuring efficiency and consistency in food preparation and service.
- Foster a team-first environment, ensuring all chefs are aligned with venue standards and expectations.
Operational & Business Management
- Oversee kitchen operations with a strong focus on efficiency, workflow, and service speed.
- Manage food and labor costs while maintaining exceptional quality and profitability.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and reduce wastage.
- Ensure all regulatory and food safety compliance requirements are met or exceeded.
- Work collaboratively with owners and management to achieve business goals and exceed customer expectations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are searching for a Head Chef with proven experience leading high-caliber kitchens. You will be:
- An accomplished culinary leader with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume venue.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to balance creativity, quality, and profitability.
- A hands-on leader who thrives in the kitchen, setting the pace and leading by example.
- Highly organised, with strong administrative skills in rosters, stock control, budgeting, and supplier management.

- Experienced in cost control, GP management, and P&L responsibility, ensuring profitability while maintaining high standards.
