Food, Beverage & Gaming Attendant – Albion Hotel

Albion Hotel is looking for a hospitality allrounder join the team. Our ideal person will have a minimum of 1 year experience in gaming and F&B and ejoy working across all areas. You will have a passion full hospitality and looking to progress your career. We are looking for a long term employee with the view of progressing in to a supervisory role. The role also requires a flexible availability with shifts varying from early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays. We do value a good work life balance.

Albion Hotel is situated in the inner north of Brisbane and has been since 1864. We are a locals pub offering a beautfful cocktail bar with a beer garden, a nice elegant restaurnt with an italian themed courtyard. Head down to the other end of the venue we have gaming machines, sports bar and TAB.

This role requires strong guest service skills with experience in Front of House & Hospitality. The role is a fast paced & hands on role at the Albion Hotel.

What you’ll do:

Responsibly selling and dispensing beverages, including liquor from the bar, food and gaming areas
Communicate warmly, friendly, respectfully and effectively as well as share product knowledge in accordance with guest needs
Initiate conversation with guests when appropriate and when the opportunities arise
Maximise revenue opportunities by fulfilling guests’ sales requests as well as utilising suggestive selling when the opportunity arises for our guests to try something new
Monitor Stock control & complete replenishment of stock when required
Operate point of sale and handle cash to ensure the security of cash at all times
Greet and seat guests in line with hotel reservations and practises as well as prepare the food areas for service
Comply with safety and health policies, procedure and role responsibilities
Responsibly operate the gaming / wagering room and maintain general cleanliness of the room
Handle customer queries, complaints and pay disputes
Carry out machine payouts in accordance with hotel policies and gaming regulations as well as performing clearance procedures if required
This role requires a National Police Check to be conducted as part of our commitment to leading in responsibility in Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing, which will be part of the recruitment process.

What you’ll need:

Be able to provide high quality guest service to enhance the guest experience
Have great attention to detail and communication skills
You are a team player who can follow supervisor’s requests to perform other tasks from time to time which contribute to the overall success of the venue’s operations
Understand and comply with safety and health policies, procedures and role responsibilities
You are competent in Responsible Service of Alcohol as appropriate and comply with the intent and legal obligations of RSA.
Current industry RSA and RSG/RCG qualifications.
