Hello, we’re Shabu House.

We are a long-established shabu-shabu/sushi buffet in the City that has been loved by Brisbaneans for many years.

We are looking for 1 kitchen person for part-time (20-35 hours per week) (this position may change to full-time in the future, depending on your skills) and we have a very well organised system, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to learn the ropes at first – myself and the other team members will help you along the way. We have team members from about 7 different countries, so it’s an English-speaking environment, so if you don’t speak English at all or can’t get along with the team, it’s a bit difficult. You don’t need to speak English very well, but it shouldn’t be a problem for you to work and get along.

During the work,

you will have to move 20kg of rice, chicken, large quantities of cooked sauces, etc.

We are looking for people who can do this well and who have good quick hands.

4. a basic understanding of working in a kitchen.

Four things are essential. If you’ve never held a knife before, please apply if you think you can do it by slicing up the ingredients in your fridge.

All statutory hourly wages are paid and performance reviews are available for those with experience.
