The Venue

Located in the heart of the Southbank Parklands, overlooking the Brisbane River and the iconic streets beach and boasting 180 degree views of the city skyline is the freshly renovated, Southbeach.

Our Team

Our dedicated team is passionate about delivering excellence in all facets of the business and creating memorable dining experiences for our customers. We are seeking an experienced Sead Chef, that has workplace experience in busy kitchen environments to join and assist in leading our dynamic team. Southbeach is a fast-paced, high-volume environment, producing modern Australian styles of cuisine.

The Role

This role is hands on role, not only leading but working alongside your team in delivering meals of a high standard to all of our guests, whilst achieving departmental goals and KPI’s.

You will need:

Ability to effectively delegate tasks, prioritise, maintain five-star standards of quality, and show an overall high level of leadership skill
Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment producing high volumes
Keen eye for detail and keeping up to date with industry trends
Menu preparation with proven experience creating new ideas
Superior communication and influencing skills
Demonstrated capability in leading, coaching and mentoring your team
Extensive knowledge of monitoring food costs, minimising waste, managing labour costs, and driving revenue
