About me

Hi!! My name is Sota Abe, and I’m originally from Japan. I worked for 1.5 years at a specialty coffee shop in Osaka, where I developed a solid foundation in espresso preparation, latte art, and customer service.

I also spent six months in Niseko — a popular international ski town in Japan — where I became very familiar with Melbourne-style coffee and service. I worked at a busy takeaway-only café, which helped me build the speed and consistency needed for high-volume environments.

Currently, I’m working as the head barista at a café in Camberwell, where I lead the coffee program and continue to refine my skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
