Section waiter / Bar

Maeve in the heart of the busy Fish Lane Precinct and directly across from QPAC and GOMA is looking for a part-time section waiter.

This role would be perfect for waiter with previous experience in a similar role. We are a wine bar and restaurant focusing on a contemporary take on European classics that pair with our fantastic and extensive wine list. Putting great importance on handmade rather than bought in and quality seasonal produce; we are made up of and owned by a small group of dedicated industry professionals. 

Your role will be to work alongside the manager in the day to day duties of setting up and running a section. You must have- A genuine passion for service and wine. The ability to push yourself without supervision. 

At least 2 years experience in a similar role in a busy venue. Understanding of customer service and the ability to exceed expectations. 

Honest, Punctual and reliable. Great communication skills. Can mentor and develop. Understanding of basic wine knowledge and time management. 

You will be paid hourly for every hour you work, no messy contract salaries leaving you out of pocket for extra hours worked. You will start on the hourly award rate depending on experience and qualifications, with promotions possible in the future. You will be paid weekend penalties.

We firmly believe this is a fantastic opportunity. You will receive in house training and work closely with the manager. Maeve is also closed on all public holidays. For the right applicant this position will have career progression.

We are looking for a Part time waiter for 3 to 4 shifts a week at roughly 25 – 30 hours per week. With a Full time position being available in the future
