Penny Coffee – Specialty Coffee Barista Wanted

Penny Coffee Co is looking for gun baristas with passion and experience to join our awesome team in full time and part time roles. We’re a sixty seat venue focusing on specialty coffee, fine food and great service open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch. We’re open on weekends, so weekend availability is a necessity. We’re located close to public transport, pay excellently and have a great workplace culture.

In this role you will:
– Work with new single origin coffees from a variety of roasters rotating frequently
– Dial in and set up new coffees, adjusting for strength, extraction, acidity, body and sweetness
– Produce filter coffee ranging from Aeropress and V60 to batch cold brew
– Serve an offering of 4 espresso options daily, producing consistently excellent latte art and cup quality
– Work in a tight knit team on excellent equipment to produce great brews

Successful applicants for the position will possess:
– At least 2 years experience as a barista
– Passion for coffee
– Ability to maintain standards under pressure
– Ability to communicate politely and effectively in a team environment
– Confidence and good presentation
– Experience in specialty coffee will be well regarded
– Availability on weekends
