New Farm Deli & Cafe` is a foodie destination popular with locals, visitors from out of town, interstate and international travelers. We pride ourselves with providing the best quality not only in our products but also in our team.
We are currently recruiting for more staff to work behind the counter to assist with creating delicious panini, filled focaccia and in preparing sandwiches for catering, making antipasti plates, serving desserts, working in the grill section, serving drinks (including alcoholic drinks), answering customer enquiries and of course, customer service.

WHAT YOU NEED
In choosing a successful candidate, we look for the following favorable traits:
Proven experience in making sandwiches and basic food preparation
Food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Police check (or willingness to obtain)
Proven experience in hospitality & customer service (minimum 1 year)
Excellent communication skills, team player, ability to work well under pressure, a ‘can-do’ attitude, strong work ethic, efficiency the ability to consistently provide flawless customer service & satisfaction
Sound knowledge of P.O.S system
Outstanding personal presentation and effervescent outgoing personality
Australian residency or similar
Fluency in English language both spoken and written
EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES ONLY – IMMEDIATE START!
ROSTER: Flexible. From 3 to 5 days p/w (there are multiple positions on offer, so first in gets first pick!) Rotation weekend work (if preferred)
SALARY: Hourly rate
JOB TYPE: Casual or Full-time – Please note that these positions require some weekend work
RESIDENCY: Australian Residency preferred. At the very least you must be able to legally work in Australia without limitations
LOCATION: New Farm Deli & Cafe`, 900 Brunswick Street, New Farm (close to public transport and with ample off-street parking)
