Looking for Day Cleaner – Zancott Knight

We are actively seeking a full-time Day Cleaner for one of our largest clients at a Brisbane refinery.

The Day Cleaner’s primary purpose is to provide cleaning services according to provided cleaning scope at an industrial site in the Port of Brisbane. The role is responsible for completing all assigned cleaning duties in a professional and timely manner. The position also provides advice to support and maintain a safe, clean and healthy workplace and for adherence to company policies and applicable laws, regulations, and standards for the workplace.

Your Role:

Location: based on site in the Port of Brisbane.

Hours: 07:00-15:00 / Monday to Friday

You will take on the responsibility of performing all daily cleaning across this large site, ensuring the cleaning is delivered to require cleaning standards and safe work processes in a timely manner.

• Cleaning including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, wiping of walls and handrails etc.
  Glass and window cleaning
  Cleaning of toilets, sinks, urinals etc
  De-littering including removing all rubbish items in the area of responsibility which may include large, heavy or bulky items.
  Actively participate as a member of our site cleaning team.
  Drive a culture of safety, respect and accountability in all that we do.

Report all incidents, injuries, near misses and hazards as soon as practical to the Cleaning Supervisor.
About you:

• A history of cleaning in industrial and similar environments.
  Existing (or eligibility for) MSIC security clearance is a requirement.
  An understanding of cleaning equipment usage and overall cleaning practises.
  Continuous improvement mindset with knowledge and of best practices and practical experience of how to achieve high standards.
  Self-motivated, proactive thinker and problem solver
  Good stakeholder management skills along with sound verbal skills
  A good understanding of risk management principles
  Time management and organisational skills.
  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships internally as well as externally
