Portabella Restaurant is a multi-award winning venue situated in the suburb of Albany Creek, north of Brisbane. We now have a casual position of waitstaff available, ready to start immediately. You must be experienced, fast and totally customer focused to fit into this team. It’s a very exciting, rewarding and high volume role.

Skills and experience

• Experienced in a fast moving upmarket restaurant
• Be flexible and able to work across all areas of the venue
• You must be fast and efficient
• Great availability must be available weekends and weekdays.
• Outstanding friendly & upbeat personality

Duties:

• Greeting and seating customers
• Taking, confirming orders and relaying to the kitchen or bar staff
• Serving food
• Serving alcohol
• Busing, cleaning, and resetting tables
• Answering phone calls
• Placing takeaway orders
• Preparing bill and processing payment
• Assisting kitchen, such as plating and garnishing menu items
• Cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitising, sweeping floors, washing dishes
• Reconciling daily cash transactions
