Looking for a Kitchen Hand (The Woods Early Education Centre / Ashgrove)

About This Job

The Kitchen Hand will prepare the meals for our centres for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. There’s no need for formal qualifications and all training will be provided but you should be enthusiastic about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for the children in our service. Nutrition is a vital part of children’s development and healthy eating is part of the QCCS philosophy. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab.

The Kitchen Hand must be passionate about children’s nutrition and have the same ethos and passion to embed and promote this in our centre.

Your role will include the preparation of fruits and vegetables for platters etc, heating and delivering meals, ensuring compliance with the centre Food Safety Plan and much more!

Monday to Friday is a must – 8am – 3pm

The Woods Early Education Centre is located in Ashgrove, just 250 metres from Ashgrove State School. Our Centre opened in January 1998 and cares for up to 90 children aged from birth to 5 years. We are passionate about sustainability and love to explore these practices with the children in our care.
