Looking for a Kitchen Hand (PA Hospital Early Education Centre / Woolloongabba)

About This Job

The Kitchen Hand will prepare the meals for our centres for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. There’s no need for formal qualifications and all training will be provided but you should be enthusiastic about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for the children in our service. Nutrition is a vital part of children’s development and healthy eating is part of the QCCS philosophy. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab.

The Kitchen Hand must be passionate about children’s nutrition and have the same ethos and passion to embed and promote this in our centre.

Your role will include the preparation of fruits and vegetables for platters etc, heating and delivering meals, ensuring compliance with the centre Food Safety Plan and much more!

Monday to Friday (5 days) is a must!

PA Hospital Early Education Centre is located on the grounds of the PA Hospital at Woolloongabba. Our Centre opened in May 2009 and cares for up to 75 children aged from birth to school age and offer a huge range of high quality programs for our children such as swimming lessons, music and movement and language opportunities. We are passionate about sustainability and love to explore these practices with the children in our care.
