CALI JARDIN is a new vibrant and exotic floral boutique on High Street in Armadale. We are a florist that is dedicated to creating exquisite floral arrangements for various occasions, from weddings and events to daily deliveries. We take pride in our commitment to quality and creativity, ensuring that each floral creation is a work of art. Our florist also incorporates a coffee kiosk to provide the best retail experience for our customers.

We are seeking passionate and experienced Barista on a Part time or Casual basis to join our small creative team at CALI JARDIN.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for someone who is wanting to grow with us and is intrinsically motivated to succeed in their creative new role.

Responsibilities:

Coffee Preparation:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks.
• Ensure consistent quality in every cup, following established recipes and standards.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take and accurately process customer orders, offering recommendations when necessary.

Café Maintenance:

• Keep the café workspace clean and organized, including the coffee preparation area and equipment.
• Regularly check and restock coffee beans, milk, and other supplies as needed.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-related equipment.
• Report any equipment issues or malfunctions to the manager for prompt resolution.

Menu Knowledge:

• Stay informed about the café’s menu items, including seasonal specials.
• Answer customer inquiries about coffee blends, brewing methods, and other relevant information.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other team members.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a positive and cohesive work environment.

Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations:

• Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role (min 2 years).
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage preparation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality coffee.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
