The Opportunity
Laundry experience is not essential for success in this role, are we are happy to train the successful candidate in all aspects of the role. It is a physically active position with our successful candidate pushing heavy trollies of linen throughout the hospital site, based at Auchenflower. Other tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Working with our porterage team to provide clean linen, garments and alike to the hospital wards
- Sorting, folding and packing clean linen and garments into trollies for delivery
- Moving trollies of clean and dirty linen throughout the hospital wards for delivery
- Reporting any issues of quality, damaged equipment or hazards to the Team Leader for action.
Identify safety and environmental hazards, reporting of such and assisting with implementing control measures.
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- A can-do attitude with friendly disposition and excellent communication skills
- The ability to operate in team environment and work autonomously
- Consistently be punctual and reliable
- High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Physically able to complete the required work tasks
- Fully immunized with basic childhood vaccinations, influenza, covid and HEP B – or working towards
- Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 5am and 1pm.
