Kürtősh Australia is a rapidly growing company, offering a unique selection in the specialty casual eatery industry. From freshly baked Hungarian delicacies like kürtőskalács, often known as chimney cakes, to slab cakes sold by weight, our Kürtősh House is the perfect daily pitstop for a delicious moment.
To help us continue crafting our signature chimney cakes, we are in search of a hands-on, customer-focused Manager to lead all elements of store operation at West End Kürtősh House. We are looking for someone ready to help increase profitability, boost customer engagement, and turn our well-established brand into a favourite local destination.
About the Role
Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe, including optimizing store productivity and stock control
Hire and onboard new supervisors, floor staff, baristas, and bakers
Train employees on baking procedures and cake serving
Train employees on drink preparation and proper use/maintenance of coffee equipment
Coordinate with suppliers and order supplies as needed (coffee, milk, cakes, packaging, etc.)
Maintain updated records of daily, weekly, and monthly revenues and expenses
Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with customers and deliver excellent customer service
Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy
Ensure all food preparation/storage areas comply with health and safety regulations
Nurture a professional and friendly rapport with customers to increase loyalty and boost brand reputation
About You
Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a café manager or in a supervisory role in the Hospitality/Food Service industry
Good commercial acumen, strong POS, and account management skills
Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends, late nights, and public holidays)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build, manage, and motivate a team
Genuine interest in food with excellent coffee-making skills
Great customer service attitude
Holder of current Food Safety Supervisor certificate
Other education/training certifications (e.g., in Business Administration or Hospitality) are a plus
