Looking for a kitchen assistant in a small, boutique bakery and dessert café in Underwood.

No experience required.

Apprentices welcome but not crucial.

You will be joining a new and exciting team.

**Responsibilities:**

– Assist senior pastry chef in preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries.

– Follow established recipes and techniques to ensure consistency in product quality.

– Prepare ingredients by measuring, mixing, and portioning as directed.

– Participate in the creation of new pastry items, offering creative ideas and suggestions.

– Assist in the decoration and presentation of pastries, maintaining a keen eye for detail.

– Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, including tools and equipment.

– Handle and store ingredients according to food safety guidelines.

– Collaborate with the pastry team to ensure efficient workflow and timely production.

– Perform cleaning and general maintenance of the premises, including the kitchen area.

– Learn and apply proper baking techniques, such as handling dough, using ovens, and mastering various pastry methods.

– Adapt and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
