Want to lead a small team and craft Brisbane’s best fresh pasta? We have an opening available working daytime Monday to Friday in one of Queensland’s most diverse and bustling kitchens.

CJ’s Pasta, Brisbane’s leading fresh pasta maker, is currently recruiting an individual to oversee the day-to-day production of our fresh pasta. Originally founded in 1996, we are only two years into our ownership of this Brisbane stalwart, and we are committed to becoming Queensland’s premier fresh pasta producer.

Essentially, you will lead a small team in our production kitchen and will be responsible for both day-to-day production and the further evolution of our product range. The core of our business is today fixed around supplying some of Brisbane’s best restaurants with fresh pasta, gnocchi, ravioli and focaccia, however, we have a growth strategy in place to increase and diversify our productivity and core range over the coming years.

What we are looking for in our ideal candidate:

· A mature qualified chef with solid knowledge and passion for Italian cookery
· Food production experience – ideally, but not necessarily, in pasta
· An excellent communicator – you will be a point of contact for some of our customers so good written and verbal communication skills are very important
· A strong leader who keeps calm under pressure. You will be responsible for running the small production team and keeping their morale up as well as our culture positive
· Excellent personal presentation
· Genuine pride in your food. Our wholesale customers are your peers, chefs of Brisbane’s top restaurants
· Open driving licence
· Professional references
