About Us:
Silvs on Kennedy is a vibrant and welcoming café in Richmond, dedicated to serving top-quality coffee and exceptional customer experiences. We proudly use Industry Beans, ensuring our coffee is always premium, and we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Head Barista to lead our coffee program.
The Role:
As our Barista, you will be responsible for maintaining our high coffee standards, leading the barista team, and ensuring every cup is brewed to perfection. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, a love for specialty coffee, and the ability to create a seamless and efficient workflow during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the coffee team, ensuring quality and consistency in every cup
- Dial in espresso and maintain equipment to Industry Beans’ high standards
- Train and mentor baristas to enhance their skills and coffee knowledge
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build relationships with regulars
- Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and barista supplies
- Work closely with the management team to innovate and improve our coffee offering
About You:
- At least 2+ years of experience as a senior barista or head barista
- CURRENT RSA
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, including espresso extraction and milk texturing
- Experience with Industry Beans coffee is a bonus
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable experiences
