About The Blue Fin Fishing Club
Founded in 1956 by a group of local fishermen, The Blue Fin Fishing Club is the largest fishing club in Australia, with over 7,500 members. Today, the nationally recognised social club provides its members a relaxing and cosy environment for having a good time with families and friends.
Our facilities include a Bistro, Bar, Café, gaming room, kids’ room plus function and training rooms. Our club is located in Inala, 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD, 30 minutes from Ipswich and 1 hour from the Gold Coast.
The strength of The Blue Fin Fishing Club is its place in our community. We sponsor various local projects plus run a community support program. Every dollar generated by the club is invested back into fishing or to enhancing our services and facilities for members.
Reporting to the Duty Managers this is a hands-on role where you will strive to provide a fantastic customer experience for our members and guests from the moment they arrive at our club.
About the Role
Serving customers within our Gaming, TAB, Keno and Bar areas.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of responsibilities to customers in relation to RSA, RSG and the Liquor Act requirements.
Ensure our club is well presented e.g. cleaned, cleared and safe.
Ensure gaming and bar standards, procedures and processes are followed.
Ensure you have updated knowledge of food, bar products, offers and processes.
Skills/experience
High level of interpersonal, communication and team skills.
Demonstrated experience within the hospitality industry or within a similar environment.
Responsible Service of Alcohol and Gaming (RSA & RSG) Statements of Attainment.
High standards in customer service with a strong customer service background are ideal.
Your availability will need to be flexible to work rostered shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
