Frankie & George – Barista/All Rounder
About This Job
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Barista All-Rounder to join our team at Frankie & George Cafe. This is a casual position offering approximately 20 hours per week. Frankie & George is a fast paced cafe in the Brisbane CBD with a focus on specialty coffee and providing our customers with a excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving specialty coffee to our high standards
- Operation of coffee equipment including grinder, espresso machine, and milk wand
- Taking customer orders and handling cash transactions
- Preparing and serving light meals and snacks
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the café
- Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as a barista in a busy café or restaurant environment
- A passion for coffee and a strong knowledge of specialty coffee is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Must be available to work at least one weekend day
- A current I’m Alert Food Safety Certificate and/or Barista Certificate is desirable but not essential
