Seeking an experienced Food Preparation Assistant with experience in sandwich making and strong knife skills to join our fast-pace kitchen for 30-40 hours a week, including early starts.
Candidate must be a motivated, reliable and a flexible team player with strong knowledge of safe food handling practices. Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.

Well-established, family-run catering company is seeking a hard-working and multi-skilled Food Preparation Assistant to join their West End-based team.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as a Food Preparation Assistant in a high volume catering production kitchen will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist with the preparation of sandwiches and cold food items
- General preparation tasks, such as chopping
- General kitchen duties including the operation of dishwasher, pot wash duties, and general cleaning
- Ensuring tasks are performed in accordance with approved procedures and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work space in accordance with the Food Safety Management System
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong logistical organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, efficient time management and ability to work in a team
- Physically fit as the job is fast paced and requires some lifting
- Competent in food safety and hygiene protocols, preferred but not essential
- A passion for food and an eye for detail
- Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
- Spoken and written English proficiency is a must
- Early mornings are a must
