Qualifications & experience

• Minimum of 1+year experience working with coffee, in fast paced cafe, service oriented and quality focused venue/s
• Have a passion for making Coffee and a basic understanding of the processes behind great espresso;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with customers and fellow team members;
• The ability to work well under pressure with consistent results in flavour and presentation; and
• A strong work ethic and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Ensure coffee preparation and quality is of the highest standard & consistent with the Café’s standards;
• Undertake duties effectively and efficiently, maintaining a well-resourced, clean and organised drinks station during and after service, even when working at pace;
• Carry out general hospitality duties, including serving of customers and other tasks related to café operations;
• Able to work unsupervised and harmoniously with the rest of our amazing  team and to always lead by example;
• Make safety a priority and ensure hygiene is maintained and work in accordance with Food Safety and Workplace health and safety regulations; and
• Support management in the training of junior staff in the functions of a barista.
