What we are looking for:
We are looking for experienced Commi Chefs to join our kitchen operations (multiple positions available). To be successful in your application for one of these full time roles, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years post apprenticeship experience and possess the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
Recent experience in a medium to large fast paced kitchen
Enthusiasm and true dedication to producing superior meals
Ability to multi-task while remaining calm in high pressure situations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Great attention to detail, highly organised and able to multi-task
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Available to work weekends, day and evening shifts and public holidays
Proven abilities in HACCP procedures and food hygiene
Own reliable transport as there is no public transport to our premises
Full Australian working rights
Your responsibilities as Commi Chef:
Preparing and cooking food for Tuscan Terrace and various functions held onsite as required
Possess the ability to handle any menu ranging from breakfasts, corporate lunches, formal dinners, banquets
Review quality of dishes during all stages of prep and serving up
Prepare dishes to meet special dietary requirements
Demonstrate new techniques and cooking procedures
Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
