YHA is currently seeking Cleaners x 3 to join the team on a part-time basis for Brisbane City YHA.
The cleaner’s main responsibilities are to maintain the highest possible standard of cleanliness and hygiene as part of the cleaning team in accordance with YHA policies and procedures.
Day-to-day duties includes but not limited to:
Operational
Cleaning of all facilities including public areas, bathrooms, kitchens and grounds
Includes vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
Includes dusting of furniture and other fittings as requested
Restocking amenities, and removing rubbish
Removing and sorting of recycling and rubbish from all public areas, bathrooms, kitchens and communal areas
Recording the number of recycling bins put out for collection (in properties where relevant)
Maintaining equipment, ensure chemical cleaning products are handled and stored safely
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning/commercial
Willingness to take direction from others
Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Flexible availability 24/7 roster including night shifts, weekends and public holidays
Excellent communication skills verbal and written
