Cafe Supervisor – Full Time
It’s no yolk’ing matter – we’re looking for a Cafe Supervisor to work in our small but busy cafe located in the heart of Newstead, Gasworks shopping precinct.
Stripping back the breakfast ritual to its bare essentials, Yolk is a minimally chic spot specialising in an elevated take on chicken tenders and the classic bacon-and-egg roll.
Building on the iconic breakfast spread, Yolk also dispenses freshly squeezed orange juice alongside specialty Five Senses coffee available in milk, black, iced and filter pours.

About You
You’re a motivated and enthusiastic person with a love for busy, high energy environments. You’re a natural at establishing genuine relationships with customers and staff and have experience in leadership and management. Previous cafe or hospitality experience is preferred and barista skillset is desirable but not essential.
The Opportunity
- Managing day to day operations of the cafe including working across the different FOH jobs (waiting tables, making coffee, serving customers etc).
- Leading FOH team including rostering, development and mentoring. Support and develop them to ensure they are providing best in class customer service within an enjoyable working environment.
- Promote a fun, positive and enthusiastic culture amongst the team.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Opening & closing the cafe as required including set up / pack down, managing tills and restocking.
- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers, centre management, company directors etc.
- Where required assist with coordinating events and functions including delivering to nearby businesses.
