Matthew Thomas is a well established food service operator and homewares and decor retailer, and is looking for hospitality professionals at its Sandgate and Aspley locations.

We are seeking reliable, smart, fast-working people that have the capacity and temperament to highly function in a fast-paced environment. Beyond this we need people follow instructions and processes without fuss, and to meet our selection criteria below.

Prerequisites:

1-2 years + hospitality, food preparation or cafe/restaurant experience
1-2 years barista experience – specialty coffee an advantage
Available to work a minimum of three shifts per week
Live within 20 minutes of either of our venues and have your own transport
A stable resume with professional references
You must be:

Well-groomed, presented, clean and detail-orientated
Cheerful and enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude
Disciplined and physically fit
Emotionally intelligent, humble and a team-player
Focused and perform well under pressure
A good verbal communicator and a quick learner
Fluent in English – native speakers will only be considered
Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
Desirable but not essential:
