Cafe Cook/All-Rounder

About This Job

We need an experienced cafe cook/all-rounder with an eye for detail.

We’re looking for someone who can:

• Maintain safe and hygienic food practices.
• Work as part of a team and enjoys the hospitality environment.
• Pre-prepare food items from approved recipes in accordance with safe food handling practices.
• Maintain stock levels.
• Prepare menu items in a timely manner using approved recipes.
• Maintain consistent standards of quality and presentation.
• Assist other team members.

Because we are a small team, the right candidate will also be required to, among other things:

• Make hot and cold drinks
• Engage with customers in a pleasant and cheerful manner.
• Take orders promptly and correctly.
• Clear tables, do dishes, wash floors and keep the café clean and inviting.
• Ensure café ambience is maintained by doing all things to make customers feel welcome.

The successful candidate will be working in a cosy cafe environment with a friendly team of easy-going people who together, contribute to the ongoing success of the cafe.

A management opportunity may be available for the right candidate.
