Barista approximately 20 hours per week
Able to make great coffee & Love cake
We are a boutique cake shop & have been established in Ashgrove for 17 years . We have a small in house dining area suitable for 8 to 12customers, serving both savory & sweet as well as a mini high tea with our coffees & tea Monday-Saturdays.
You will be working with a La Marzocco, an automated Mazzer Luigi grinder, and beautiful coffee beans from the Wolff Roast Haus at Hendra.
Consistent espresso extraction is expected, as is smooth & silky milk texturizing. Latte art is not expected, however we do expect a degree of presentation when serving coffee.
The second half of this position requires an appreciation of cakes along with a willingness to learn about our product, as we primarily a cake shop with a dedication to quality & originality
The successful applicant will :
- make a really good coffee
- have at least 1 year experience making coffee
- have a keen attention to detail & presentation
- be able to carry out a shift individually
- maintain relationships with regular customers
- develop relationships with new customers
- good customer service at all times
- be a reliable part of the Cakes by JudyC team
- ability to communicate & listen
- clean up throughout shift
- aprox 20 hours per week sometimes more
- required to work every second Saturday
- shifts are 7.30am till 2.30pm Monday to Friday
- No Sundays ever
