We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Barista / FOH to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Position: Barista / Front of House (FOH)
Location: Ivy Espresso – Stafford Heights
Type: Part-Time
Experience: Minimum 12 months of barista experience required

Responsibilities:
– Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages with precision and care, showcasing basic latte art skills to delight our customers.
– Deliver exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering inquiries, and ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
– Manage inventory and stock levels, including placing orders for coffee beans, dairy products, and other supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
– Participate in opening and closing procedures, including setup, cleaning, and ensuring the cafe is ready for the next day’s operations.
– Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to the overall cleanliness and aesthetic of the cafe.
– Assist in training new staff members, sharing your expertise and knowledge to maintain consistent service quality.
– Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
– Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficiency and quality even during peak hours.

Requirements:
– A minimum of 12 months of experience as a barista in a cafe or similar setting.
– Proficiency in creating basic latte art designs to add an extra touch to our coffee presentations.
– Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage inventory, place orders, and ensure stock levels are appropriate.
– Familiarity with opening and closing procedures, demonstrating the ability to take responsibility for cafe operations.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide outstanding customer service and work effectively within a team.
– A passion for coffee and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality beverages.
– Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the cafe’s schedule.
– Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a busy, fast-paced environment.
